Kärnkraften i världen: 2025 i siffror
Antalet reaktorer i drift minskar – Taiwan slutför avveckling
Den 1 januari 2026 var 404 kärnreaktorer i drift i världen, fem färre än året innan. Den sammanlagda operativa effekten var emellertid fortsatt stabil. Nya kärnkraftverk var under uppbyggnad i 11 länder, fem färre än bara två år tidigare.

Fewer Countries Building New Reactors
As of 1 January 2025, 411 nuclear power reactors were operating in the world—two units less than one year earlier—with an identical combined capacity of 371 gigawatt (
GW
). Construction of new nuclear plants was underway in 13 countries, that is two fewer countries than a year ago. Outside China, the number of reactors under construction dropped by one.

La Chine et la Russie conservent leur position de leaders. Le marché de niche des centrales nucléaires continue à être dominé par la Chine et la Russie. La première par le nombre de chantiers, la seconde par le nombre de projets mis en oeuvre au plan mondial. Au cours des quatre dernières années, il n’y a pas eu un seul début de construction de réacteur nucléaire dans le monde qui ne soit implanté en Chine ou mis oeuvre par la Russie. (…)
